Achievements at International Level

First rank in Asia in the Model Satellite Competition-Teknofest 2025 

The SAE Collegiate Club, Institute of Technology secured 1st rank in Asia and 7th rank globally at the Model Satellite Competition – Teknofest 2025 held from September 9-14, 2025. Recognised as Türkiye’s largest aerospace and technology competition, Teknofest, organised by Turksat, witnessed participation from 80 international teams, including leading institutions such as Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (Indonesia), Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), and several prominent universities from Turkey and India.

The competition challenged teams to design and develop a CanSat (can-sized satellite) capable of executing multiple technical missions under demanding environmental conditions. Through rigorous evaluation rounds, students’ team comprising Harsh Trivedi, Dhyani Raval, Nishka Pandya, Vedant Patel, Arya Patel, and Preya Parikh, demonstrated exceptional teamwork, technical expertise, and perseverance, culminating in this outstanding global achievement.

Silver Medal in Pickleball World Cup 2025 

Rakshikha Ravi, a student of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Institute of Technology, represented Team India at the Pickleball World Cup 2025, held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA from October 27 – November 5, 2025. Competing among delegations from 68 countries, Rakshikha showcased outstanding skill, focus, and determination, winning the Silver Medal in the 5.0 Women’s Doubles Open category.

 

Achievements at National Level

Team Nirma Robocon won 2nd Prize at DD Robocon 2025

Team Nirma Robocon from the Institute of Technology secured second prize at the DD Robocon National Competition, held at IIT Delhi from July 11 to 13, 2025. The team comprising Sumit Ariwala, Jay Sanchania, Manthan Kakadiya, Anurag Shrivastav, Nandish Patel, Vansh Sorathiya, Akash Pandey, Manav Parikh, Harsh Dahiya, Kruti Shah, Ashutosh Das, Jay Thakkar, Achintya Patel, Divyanshi Panchal, Karan Kanani, and Aryan Patel, showcased exceptional innovation and technical expertise.

 

India’s Best Design Student Award 2025

Sakshi V Kadu and Manav R Sirwani, Industrial Design students from the Institute of Design, were the winners of the India’s Best Design Student Award 2025, presented by DesignIndia on August 23, 2025 at Pune. Their innovative projects were selected from over 100 entries submitted by leading design institutions nationwide.

Case Study Competition

Hetavi Patel and Kush Faldu from the Institute of Management secured first position at Finance Fast Forward 2025, a national-level case study competition organised by JPMorgan Chase on August 22, 2025. They competed against participants from ten premier B-schools from across India at the grand finale.

 

 

 

Bhartiya Antriksh Hackathon 2025

Team DOMinators from the BTech Computer Science and Engineering comprising Nisarg Vashi, Krish Vaghasia, Heli Shah, and Hensi Patel secured second position in the Bhartiya Antriksh Hackathon 2025 for their project K.A.L.A.M., held at NRSC, Hyderabad. The team was invited to receive the award and showcase their project on National Space Day (August 23, 2025) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in the presence of the Honourable Prime Minister of India.

Rising Youth Network MUN

Hasta Mehta and Krishna Thakkar, BBA first-year students, brought laurels to the Institute of Management at the Rising Youth Network Model United Nations (MUN) conference, organised by Global Indian International School (GIIS), Ahmedabad from August 15-17, 2025 which hosted over 500 delegates from across the country. Hasta earned a Special Mention in the All-India Political Parties Meet Committee, while Krishna was honoured with the Best Delegate award in the Global Business Forum Committee.

IN-SPACe CANSAT India and Model Rocketry Competitions

The Model Rocketry team from the SAE Nirma Collegiate Club, Institute of Technology secured 3rd position at the IN-SPACe CANSAT India and Model Rocketry Competitions, held at Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh from October 25 to 30, 2025 for their excellence in rocket development and payload ejection proficiency.

The CANSAT Team from Nirma University received the Best Teamwork Award for their spirit, resilience, and collaborative efforts in executing a successful launch.

IPA Pickleball Nationals 2025

Rakshikha Ravi, a student of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Institute of Technology, represented Team Gujarat at the IPA Pickleball Nationals 2025 held in Bengaluru from November 13-16, 2025. She secured a Silver Medal in the Open Women’s Team Event, and a Bronze Medal in the Women’s Doubles Individual Event.

 

 

Marketing Case Competition 

Students team from the Institute of Management comprising Kenil Rajyaguru, Chhavi Mittal, Kushal Kothari, Avinash Mulani, and Anshika Harlalka secured third position in the marketing case competition ‘Vendition Vendetta’ held at IIM Indore from October 30 to November 2, 2025.

 

 

Achievements at University Level

Disceptatio: Debate Competition 2025

The third edition of Disceptatio, the Conventional Debate Competition 2025 was held on August 30, 2025 organised by the Institute of Law under the aegis of the Students’ Welfare Board, Nirma University. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 25 teams representing various institutes of the university, engaging in a series of intense and thought-provoking rounds. Shaini Agarwal and Ishika Punia from the Institute of Law emerged as the winners.

Inter-Institute Sports Tournament 2025

The Inter-Institute Volleyball Tournament was hosted by the Institute of Science from September 9-10, 2025. The Institute of Technology emerged as the winner in both the Boys and Girls categories. Additionally, the Faculty/Staff (Male) team from the Institute of Technology secured the first position.

The Inter-Institute Basketball Tournament 2025 was hosted by the Institute of Pharmacy from September 11-12, 2025. The Institute of Technology won in the Boys category, while the Institute of Law secured the first position in the Girls category.

The Inter-Institute Table Tennis Tournament was hosted by the Institute of Commerce from September 30 – October 1, 2025. Yug Shah from the Institute of Technology won in the Boys category, while Nidhi Prajapati from the Institute of Commerce secured the first position in the Girls category. Male Doubles winners were Pradyumn Singh and Lakshya Soni from the Institute of Technology; Female Doubles winners were  Nidhi Prajapati and Saloni Shah from the Institute of Commerce; and Mixed Doubles winners were Nidhi Prajapati and  Shresth Desai from the  Institute of Commerce.

The Inter-Institute Carrom Tournament was hosted by the Institute of Design on October 9, 2025. Tathya Patel from the Institute of Pharmacy emerged as the winner in the Boys category, while Priyadarshini Saronia from the Institute of Science secured the first position in the Girls category. In the Faculty/Staff category, Mr Roshan Tandel from the Institute of Technology was declared the winner.

The Institute of Design hosted the Inter-Institute Chess Tournament on October 10, 2025. Aaryan Shah from the Institute of Management emerged as the winner in the Boys category, while Pari Shah from the Institute of Technology secured the first position in the Girls category. In the Faculty/Staff category, Mr Lakshmana Padhan from the Institute of Law was declared the winner.

The Inter-Institute Kho-Kho Tournament was hosted by the School of Technology, Institute of Technology on October 13, 2025. The Institute of Technology emerged as the winner in the Boys category, while the Institute of Pharmacy secured first position in the Girls category.

The Inter-Institute Kabaddi Tournament was hosted by the School of Engineering, Institute of Technology on October 14, 2025. The Institute of Technology was declared winner in both the Boys and Girls categories.

The Inter-Institute Cricket Tournament was hosted by the Institute of Law from October 10-16, 2025. The Institute of Technology secured first position in both the Boys category as well as the Faculty & Staff category.

The Inter-Institute Badminton Tournament was hosted by the Institute of Architecture and Planning on November 1, 2025. Ved Patel from the Institute of Technology emerged as the winner in the Boys category, while Radha Shah from the Institute of Design secured the first position in the Girls category. In the Doubles category, team of Manthan Shah and Kanishk Verma from the Institute of Technology emerged as the winner in the Boys category, and Shreya Jain and Aadhya Soni from the Institute of Technology emerged as the winner in the Girls category.

The Inter-Institute Football Tournament was hosted by the Institute of Management on November 3-4, 2025. Students team from the Institute of Technology emerged as the winner in the Boys as well as the Girls category.
