Vice President?s visit to Florida Atlantic University, USA

Nirma University has a collaboration with Florida Atlantic University, USA. To strengthen the relations further, Mr K K Patel, Vice President, Nirma University, visited Florida Atlantic University on Nov 26, 2019. He visited labs in Boca Raton campus and SeaTech campus and interacted with the professors and the students.

  • A delegation from Curtin University, Australia visited Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University on Nov 13, 2019. The delegation including, Prof Abhijit Mukherjee, Dean International; Dr Anne Farren, School of Design and the Built Environment; Dr Mauro Mocerino, Associate Professor, MLS Director of Learning and Teaching; Dr Joseph Fernandez, Associate Professor, School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry, met the Director of the institute and the Head-International Relations, Nirma University to strengthen the collaboration.

 

  • Dr Javad Hashemi, Associate Dean of Research, and Dr Abhijit Pandya, Professor at Florida Atlantic University, USA delivered expert lectures and participated in the panel discussions at NUiCONE 2019 on Nov 21-22, 2019 at Institute of Technology, Nirma University. They also discussed collaborative activities with the Nirma university officials.
  • Dr Karen Mossman, Vice President-Research, McMaster University, Canada visited Nirma University and discussed joint research possibilities between the two universities with the Director General, Director (Research & Innovation), Director (Institute of Science) and Head-International Relations, Nirma University on Nov 18, 2019.

 

  • Dr Yashwant Pathak, Professor and Associate Dean at Taneja School of Pharmacy, University of South Florida with whom the University has signed a MoU earlier, was part of a one day seminar on ?Nano Drug Delivery? at Institute of Pharmacy on Oct 22, 2019. He delivered a technical talk on the theme and also discussed collaboration with the deans of Institute of Pharmacy and Institute of Science and the Head of International Relations. He also discussed research activities with PhD scholars and faculty members.

 

  • Dr Peter Partell, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Administration from Binghamton University with whom the University has signed a MoU earlier, visited Institute of Technology on Oct 14, 2019. He delivered a talk on higher education options at Binghamton University for students of Institute of Technology, and an expert talk on ?Assurance of Student Learning? for Head of Institutes and HoDs of Institute of Technology.
