Establishment of Faculty Chair Professor Positions

Dr Nityesh Bhatt, Institute of Management; Dr Sanjay S Patel, Institute of Technology (Chemical Engineering); and Dr Priti Mehta, Institute of Pharmacy have been awarded the ?Faculty Chair Professor positions? by the Nirma Limited. The objective of creating the Nirma Ltd Chair is to promote research and academic work in the concerned area. The Chair would take up sponsored research projects in the concerned area and publish papers in reputed journals. In addition, they could also carry out research projects for Nirma Ltd for the sponsoring organisation.

Awards and Achievements

• Dr Mayur Patel, Dr Snehal Patel, and Dr Bhoomika Patel from the Institute of Pharmacy have been recognised as one of the top 2% of scientists across the globe published by Stanford University in its Oct 2021 report. • Dr Sudeep Tanwar, Professor, Institute of Technology won the Dr KW Wong Annual Best Paper Prize for the article Blockchain-based electronic healthcare record system for healthcare 4.0 applications published in Journal of Information Security and Applications, Elsevier.

• Dr Jai Prakash Verma, Associate Professor, Institute of Technology received Best Paper Award for the paper titled ?A New Approach for Processing Raster Geospatial Big Data in Distributed Environment? in the 3^rd International Conference on Advances in Distributed Computing and Machine Learning (ICADCML)-2022, Jan 15-16, 2022.
