Achievements at International Level
RoboNation-SUAS-2025
Team Arrow, a part of the SAE (Society of Automative Engineers) Nirma Collegiate Club, secured overall first position among 81 International teams, and became the World Champion at the RoboNation – Students Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) 2025 competition held in Maryland, USA during June 24-26, 2025. The team was awarded a cash prize of $3,000 and a plaque in recognition of their outstanding performance.
The team competed with prestigious institutions such as University of California – Berkeley, University of California – Irvine, UCSD, North Carolina State University, Virginia Tech, Penn State, McGill University, Istanbul Technical University, King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals, and Indian Institutions such as IIT Bombay, IIT Madras and Ramaiah Institute of Technology-Bengaluru. Team Arrow members include Neel Chhatrala, Mantra Patel, Aayush Desai, Bhavya Goradia, Het Patel, Param Mankad, and Vishesh Brahmbhatt. Three students, namely Manav Patel, Kavya Kapadia, and Nishanth Banjan were part of the development team.
SAE Aero Design West 2025
Team Arrow SAE (Rishith Vanaliya, Dhagash Patel, Malav Prajapati, Shiv Vanara, Monil Ashapuri, and Kush Mehta) representing Nirma University, secured 5th rank in the ‘Mission Score category’ at the SAE Aero Design West 2025, held at Apollo XI RC Field, California, USA from April 4-6, 2025.
The competition witnessed participation from over 70 teams representing countries such as India, the United States, Poland, Mexico, Egypt, China, Canada, the Czech Republic, Brazil, and more. Notable institutions included the University of California – Berkeley, Georgia Tech, Warsaw University of Technology, University of Toronto, and from India, teams from VIT, NIT, Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College of Engineering, and Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, alongside Team Arrow from Nirma University.
Team Arrow’s UAV stood out with a 54-inch wingspan, delivering 50 N of lift and capable of carrying a 2 kg water payload, all while maintaining a takeoff distance of under 10 feet. The aircraft generated 2.8 kg of thrust with a remarkably low 450 Watts of power consumption. Notably, the UAV successfully completed five consecutive flights – the highest among Indian teams, in adverse wind conditions, showcasing exceptional stability and aerodynamic reliability.
NLIU Justice R K Tankha International Arbitration Moot Court Competition
The team comprising Rakshita Singh, Nidhi Singh, Priyanka Pal, and Tanvesha Golani from the Institute of Law emerged as the Runner-up, and also received the citation for Best Memorial (Claimant), at the 10th NLIU Justice R K Tankha International Arbitration Moot Court Competition, hosted by National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal from April 4-6, 2025.
Paras Diwan Memorial International Energy Law Moot Court Competition
The team comprising Kshitij Thakre, Moksh Kasliwal, and Sachman Kaur Bagga from the Institute of Law won the 15th Paras Diwan Memorial International Energy Law Moot Court Competition, 2025 hosted by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, from April 11-13, 2025. Moksh Kasliwal was awarded the title of the Best Researcher at the competition.
Achievements at National Level CNLU Cyber Law National Moot Court Competition
The team comprising Abhijeet Patra, Akanksha Mishra, and Kritika Kumar from the Institute of Law secured the Runner-up position at the 3rd CNLU Cyber Law National Moot Court Competition, 2025 organised by Chanakya National Law University from April 12-13, 2025.
Gujarat Open Pickleball Championship
Rakshikha Ravi from the Institute of Technology won three bronze medals in the Gujarat Open Pickleball Championship 2025, held in Ahmedabad from June 5-8, 2025.
Achievements at University Level Sports Awards Ceremony 2024-25
The Institute of Pharmacy, under the aegis of the Student Welfare Board, Nirma University, organised the Sports Awards Ceremony 2024-25 on April 18, 2025. The event aimed to felicitate students, faculty, and staff members who delivered exceptional performances and secured first or second positions in various inter-institutional team and individual sports competitions during the academic year 2024-25.
