Centre of Excellence status to Nirma University for six years
In recognition of the university’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation, the Government of Gujarat, based on the recommendations of a High-Level Committee has extended the ‘Centre of Excellence’ status granted to Nirma University for the next six academic years, from 2025-26 to 2030-31, enabling the university to further strengthen its role as a leader in higher education and contribute meaningfully to the society.
NBA Reaccreditation at Institute of Technology
The undergraduate programmes in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering at the Institute of Technology have been reaccredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for a period of three years, i.e. up to June 30, 2028. With this reaccreditation, all the undergraduate programmes of the Institute of Technology continue to maintain their accredited status, reflecting the institute’s commitment to academic excellence.

IIRF Rankings 2025
The Institute of Law received 9th position in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2025 under the category of Top 50 Private Law Colleges in India.The Institute of Management has achieved following recognition in the IIRF Rankings 2025 declared in May 2025:
#2 Best Private Business School in the State.
#3 among the Top 50 B-Schools under State Private Universities.
#10 among all Private B-Schools in India.
CSR Ranking 2025 – Institute of Technology
The Institute of Technology is ranked first in the ‘Supreme Engineering Colleges category’ declared by the Competition Success Review in June 2025. The institute stood first among 81 participating engineering colleges.

New Programmes Introduced
From the academic year 2025-26, the university will be offering the following programmes:
The Institute of Pharmacy is launching a Doctor of Pharmacy – Post Baccalaureate (PharmD-PB), a three-year, full-time professional course approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Designed for BPharm graduates, the programme integrates advanced clinical and pharmaceutical sciences with hands-on patient care experience to prepare students for dynamic roles in healthcare and pharmacy practice.
The Institute of Design is launching a Bachelor of Science in Product & Interaction Design (2+2 Dual Degree) as part of the Institute’s collaboration with Iowa State University, US. The students enrolled in this programme will study at Nirma University for the first two years and can get transfer admission for the +2 phase in the partner university abroad.
The Institute of Technology has established international collaborations with the University of Iowa State University, US; and the University of Cincinnati, US for its Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (2+2 Dual Degree). The students enrolled in this programme will study at Nirma University for the first two years and can get transfer admission for the +2 phase in the universities from the US.
Other programmes include: Integrated BTech (ME) – MBA, and MTech (Robotics & Artificial Intelligence) under the department of Electronics & Instrumentation.
The Institute of Law is launching the BBA-LLB (Hons.) programme in July 2025 approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Designed for aspiring legal professionals, the programme integrates business administration with comprehensive legal education to prepare students for dynamic roles in law, governance, and corporate practice.
