MoU with the Indian Navy

Nirma University signed a MoU with the Indian Navy represented by INS Valsura, Jamnagar on Sep 7, 2019. Rear Admiral Ravindra Jayant Nadkarni, AVSM, VSM, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command and Shri Anup K Singh, Director General, Nirma University signed the MoU on behalf of INS Valsura and Nirma University, respectively.

Under this MoU, the undergraduate and postgraduate students of Computer Science and Engineering will get an opportunity to do internship at INS Valsura. The work will majorly be in the area of Data Science, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and others.

The signing of MoU is a milestone event as it is for the first time that students of an external University will partner with Indian Navy on modern and cutting edge IT-related applications, studies, research and projects.

MoU with Confederation of Indian Industry

Institute of Technology, Nirma University signed a MoU with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on July 24, 2019.The MoU will help in capacity building of faculty members and in developing industry related curriculum. The MoU will act as a bridge between the institute and the industry. It will also facilitate the undertaking of research related to the industry.

MoU with Secure Meters Ltd

A MoU with Secure Meters Ltd, Udaipur was signed by Institute of Technology, Nirma University on July 9, 2019. The MoU will facilitate mobility of industry experts to deliver lectures and curriculum development with industrial need as the focus.

Establishment of Supercomputer Facility ?Param-Shavak? 

The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) has selected Nirma University to establish a Supercomputer facility for conducting high-end in-house advance computing studies and research work at Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. The facility will help in promoting research by integrating learning-edge emerging technologies at the grassroots level. The system will be used by the students and academic researchers for high-end, in-house advanced computing studies and research work.

World-wide supercomputing facilities have enabled countries in their Science and Technology capabilities in areas, including weather prediction, real time tracking of natural phenomenon, gene sequencing, discovery of life saving drugs, designing vehicles, massive structures, discovery and extraction of new energy sources, and so on.
