Book Release

Prof Samik Shome (Professor at the Institute of Management, Nirma University) and Prof Jagdish N Sheth (Charles H Kellstadt Professor of Marketing at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University, US) have co-authored a ‘Handbook of Vocational Education and Training: Foundations for Transforming the Nation’, offering a comprehensive exploration of the role of VET in driving national development. The book examines vocational systems in countries including Germany, Japan, China, and India, presenting 16 key success factors for effective VET implementation. Aimed at policymakers, educators, and industry professionals, it serves as a strategic guide to strengthening workforce capacity and global competitiveness.

Member Leader Excellence Award

Dr Rajesh Kumar Jain from the Institute of Management has been honoured with the ‘Member Leader Excellence Award’ by ASQ USA, announced during the World Conference on Quality and Improvement (WCQI) 2025 held in Denver on May 3, 2025. This global recognition celebrates his exemplary leadership and contributions to quality advancement.

Best Innovative Researcher Award

Dr Ankit Thakkar from CSE department, Institute of Technology received the ISTE Gujarat Section State-Level Award for Best Innovative Researcher in Computer Engineering for the academic year 2023-24, conferred at Shri Sitarambhai Naranji Patel Institute of Technology, Surat on May 3, 2025.
