Awards and Achievements

Dr Madhuri Bhavsar, Professor and Head of Department, Computer Science & Engineering, Institute of Technology received the ISTE National level award of Best Women in Engineering for the year 2021. The award was given at the ISTE annual convention held on Aug 27, 2022 at Agnel Institute of Technology & Design, Assagao, Goa.

Dr Mayur A Makhesana, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Technology, was selected for the International Teaching Mobility Programme to visit the Public University of Navarra, Spain. The grant was awarded under the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Union on May 16, 2022.  Dr Makhesana visited the aforesaid university in June 2022.

Dr Vikas J Lakhera, Professor, Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Technology received the Charutar Vidya Mandal Best Engineering College Teacher Award for Gujarat state during ISTE annual convention held on Aug 27, 2022 at Agnel Institute of Technology & Design, Assagao, Goa.

Nirma University funded research project ‘A Digital Humanities Project on Presence and Problems of Gendered Langauge in Digital World (Computer-Mediated Communication) with special reference to Political Reporting using AI’ was awarded the second prize in the Digital Humanities at Oxford during July 11-16, 2022. The presentation was done by Dr Richa Mishra, Principal Investigator of the research work. The other team members are Dr Ankit Thakkar, Department of Computer Science, and Dr Ratna Rao, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nirma University.
