Achievements at International Level

Team Nirma Secures 2nd position at Singapore Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Challenge

Team Nirma AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) from the Institute of Technology secured the 2nd position at the Singapore Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Challenge (SAUVC) 2026, held at Sanya, China, from May 28-31, 2026.

SAUVC is one of Asia’s leading autonomous underwater robotics competitions. This year, the event attracted more than 180 registered teams from around the world, out of which 50 teams were shortlisted for the finals, with 31 teams competing at the venue. Demonstrating exceptional innovation, teamwork, and engineering excellence, Team Nirma AUV achieved the fastest performance in Round 1, successfully completing the assigned task in 14.2 seconds and securing the top rank in the round.

Achievements at National Level

Campus Winner at ITC Emerging Managers Awards

Suyash Malik from the Institute of Management was awarded Campus Winner at the ITC Emerging Managers Awards held on April 9, 2026. The competition witnessed participation from 3500+ candidates across India and involved multiple rigorous stages, including an aptitude test, a case study competition, and a virtual presentation. As part of the award, he also received an internship opportunity as an Area Management Trainee Intern at ITC, Lucknow.

 

 

 

 

Vikram Award 2026

Malkeji Mohammaedoves and Manasiya Shabbir from the Mechanical Engineering Department, Institute of Technology secured first position for their project ‘Design and Development of High Torque Joint for the Quadruped Robot’ at the Vikram Award 2026, organised by Secure Meters Limited on April 21, 2026.

 

Odoo x Indus University Hackathon

Aditya N Gandhi, Purvesh Mistry and Bhavya Raval from the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Institute of Technology secured first position at the Odoo x Indus University Hackathon 2026, held on April 5, 2026. The team received a cash prize of Rs 45,000 for their innovative project.

Achievements at University Level

Sports Awards Ceremony 2025-26 The Institute of Science, under the aegis of the Student Welfare Board, Nirma University, organised the Sports Awards Ceremony 2025-26 on April 7, 2026. The event aimed to felicitate students, faculty, and staff members who delivered exceptional performances and secured first or second positions in various inter-institutional team and individual sports competitions during the academic year 2025-26. The ceremony was graced by Shri K K Patel, Hon’ble University Vice President, as the Chief Guest, and Shri G R Nair, Executive Registrar as the Guest of Honour. A special highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of Rakshikha Ravi from the School of Technology for her exceptional achievement in international sports. In acknowledgement of her accomplishment, the university awarded her sports scholarship of Rs 1,00,000.
