III-CTIL Bennett International Moot Court Competition

Students team comprising Anuli Raut, Kumud Agrawal and Aarya Bagga from the Institute of Law secured the 3rd position at the III-CTIL Bennett International Moot Court Competition organised by Bennett University, Greater Noida, in collaboration with the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), and the WTO Chairs Programme, from February 6-8, 2026.

 

Justice Hidayatullah International Moot Court Competition 

Students team comprising Sarthak Gupta, Kirti Kasat, and Harshita Singh from the Institute of Law emerged as winners at the 3rd Justice Hidayatullah International Moot Court Competition organised by Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur during March 13-15, 2026.

 

Achievements at National Level

Makers Fest Vadodara 

The Institute of Design students comprising Hitanshi Deliwala, Kalgi Ruparelia, and Ashish Blesson, along with Keval Dafda from IITRAM, Ahmedabad won the ‘Innovation Led by Women’ award at Maker Fest, Vadodara on January 11, 2026 for their project ‘Circadian’ an IoT-based smart sleep support system.

 

Crescendo – Battle of Bands at IIM Ahmedabad

Team Numaish, the official music band of the university, comprising students’ team of Omkar Chaniyara, Shreya Bhatia, Kirtan Tandel, and Ishit Joshipura (Institute of Technology), Krish Gajaria and Abhinav Dwivedi (Institute of Commerce), and Meh Parekh (Institute of Pharmacy) secured first position at the cultural fest ‘Chaos’ hosted by IIM Ahmedabad on January 16, 2026.

Management Competition at Symbiosis

Students team from the Institute of Management comprising Kenil Rajyaguru, Kushal Kothari, Chhavi Mittal, and Yagnesh Solanki, secured the Runner-Up position at the national-level management competition organised by the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune on January 24, 2026.

Team Nirma AUV Clinches National Championship for Third Consecutive Year

Team Nirma AUV from the Institute of Technology won the National Championship title for the third consecutive year at AMUROVc 4.0, a national-level Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) competition held at Aligarh Muslim University on February 7-8, 2026.

The competition consisted of multiple challenging underwater tasks. In Task 0 (Technical Inspection), the team secured the highest score by meeting stringent requirements related to weight, dimensions, and overall technical compliance of the underwater robot.
Task 1 (Navigation and Endurance Test) required the ROV to navigate underwater and pass through a gate within 30 seconds; Team Nirma AUV successfully completed the task in just 25 seconds. In Task 2 (Night Challenge), the ROV was required to identify an assigned colour and pass only through gates of that colour under low-visibility conditions. The team completed this task with the highest score. Task 3 (QR-Guided Pick and Place) involved scanning five underwater QR codes to determine object pickup and placement locations. Team Nirma AUV completed this complex task in the shortest time, earning the highest score.

The team also topped the bonus racing round, further strengthening its lead over other competitors. In recognition of its outstanding performance, Team Nirma AUV received the ‘Fastest Performance Award’, along with the championship trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The winning team comprised Uday Gupta, Moksh Khandhari, Aum Joshi, Akshat Tayal, Kutbuddinn Petrolwala, Jeet Patel, Dearsh Solanki, and Aadhya Dave.

ROBOFEST Gujarat 5.0

Student team comprising Makim Dharmik, Krishna Patel, Madhav Maheshwari, and Namra Ritesh Shah from the Institute of Technology secured second position at ROBOFEST Gujarat 5.0, a national-level robotics competition organised by GUJCOST at Science City, Ahmedabad from March 20-23, 2026. Competing in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle (IGV) category, they developed a fully autonomous robot capable of navigation, obstacle detection, terrain traversal, and real-time decision-making.

 

 

Young Designers League 2026  

Students of the Institute of Design won in various categories at the Young Designers League (YDL) 2026 held on February 6, 2026 at MIT, Indore. The project ‘Brailliant’ secured First Place in the Product Design and Mobility category, developed by Ronak Sutariya, Ayushmaan Singh Jodha, Prerak Mandavia, and Sumukh Kulkarni. The project ‘Breo’, an IoT-based device designed to support communication for visually impaired users, received Second Place in the same category, developed by Gauraang Kalantre, Vanshika Gothi, Roshan Rekha, and Pravara Bedekar. In addition, Krisha Koradia secured Third Place in the Digital Experience category.

 

Drone Development Challenge 2026

Team Arrow SAE from the Institute of Technology won accolades at the Drone Development Challenge 2026, organised in Chennai from February 20-22, 2026. Competing with 85 teams across India, Team Arrow secured the Runner-Up position in ‘Best Technical Presentation’ in the ‘Regular Class category’. In the ‘Micro Class category’, the team bagged Second Position Overall in the competition and won a cash prize of Rs 45,000.

 

 

Christ Mediation Arbitration Competition

Students team comprising Vidhaan Jain and Daksh Singh Nirvan from the Institute of Law emerged as the Semi-Finalists in the 6th Christ Mediation Arbitration Competition held at School of Law, Christ University, Bengaluru from February 4-6, 2026.

5th IILM Moot Court Competition

Students team comprising Dhriti Vyas, Vaishnavi Sharma, and Abhinav K Gupta from the Institute of Law emerged as the winners at the 5th IILM Moot Court Competition held from February 19-21, 2026 at the Institute of Integrated Learning in Management, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Dhriti Vyas was adjudged the Best Speaker of the competition. 

L J School of Law Moot Court Competition

Students team comprising Saksham Sethi, Akashi Khandelwal, and Nishant Singh from the Institute of Law emerged as Runners-Up and also secured the citation for Best Memorial at the L J School of Law Moot Court Competition, Ahmedabad, held from February 20-22, 2026.

University Band Secures First Position

Numaish, the university band, comprising Krish Gajaria, Abhinav Dwivedi from the Institute of Commerce; Omkar Chaniyara, Kirtan Tandel, Shreya Bhatia, Ishit Joshipura from the Institute of Technology; and Meh Parekh from the Institute of Pharmacy emerged as the winner of the Battle of Bands, held on March 28, 2026 at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Ahmedabad during their national-level cultural event, ‘Flare’.

 

Surana & Surana & KLE Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition

Students team comprising Manan Sharma, Saumya Thakur, and Arijeet Tiwari from the Institute of Law emerged as winners at the 8th Surana & Surana & KLE Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition organised by KLE Law College, Bengaluru from February 28 to March 1, 2026. Additionally, Saumya Thakur won the Best Speaker in the final rounds.

 

 

 

SRMUH Moot Court Competition

Students team comprising Purvi Sharma, Kavya Shukla, and Kadambari Gautam from the Institute of Law emerged as winners at the 2nd SRMUH Moot Court Competition hosted by the Faculty of Law, SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonipat in hybrid format during March 27-28, 2026.

 

 

 

Inceptio 9.0 – Marketing Challenge

The Institute of Management students team comprising Raunak Chatterjee, Arnab Chatterjee, and Yuvraj Shuryavanshi secured first position at Inceptio 9.0 – Marketing Challenge, organised by NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of Technology, Management & Engineering, Mumbai, on March 17, 2026.

National Level Hackathons

  • A team of students comprising Tirth Patel, Dhruv Matariya, Divy Mevada, Smit Faldu, Jenin Patel, Yatri Patel, and Astha Jain from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Institute of Technology secured third position in the Blockchain Domain at the National Level Codeversity Hackathon held at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar from February 5-8, 2026.
  • A team of students comprising Preetansh Devpura, Aditya Jain, Vraj Talati, and Jenil Paghdar from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Institute of Technology secured second position at the ‘Introductory Options Hackathon’ organised by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati on February 21, 2026.
  • Students team comprising Bhavya Shah, Nikhil Solanki, and Sahil Chandel from the Institute of Technology secured first position at Dotslash 9.0, a national-level 30-hour hackathon organised by ACM NIT Surat Student Chapter at SVNIT, Surat, on March 21-22, 2026.
  • Students team comprising Charu Petwal, Vedant Patel, and Hrushiraj Patel from the Institute of Technology secured second position at Breach 2026, the FinTech Hackathon held from March 13-15, 2026 at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar. The team presented ‘Treva’, an AI-powered travel guide and itinerary builder that creates personalised and interactive travel plans.

Inter-College Cricket Tournament


Students team from the Institute of Architecture and Planning won the Inter-College Cricket Tournament organised by SAL School of Architecture, Ahmedabad on February 15, 2026. Het Patel was awarded the ‘Man of the Series’ for his outstanding individual performance.

Achievements at University Level

Inter-Institute One Act Play Competition   

The Inter-Institute One Act Play Competition was hosted by the Institute of Design on January 17, 2026. Centered on the theme ‘Role Reversal – Understanding the Other’, the Institute of Pharmacy secured first position among all participating institutes.

 

 

Inter-Institute Sports Tournament

Tug of War

The Inter-Institute Tug of War Tournament was hosted by the Institute of Science on February 6, 2026. The Institute of Pharmacy emerged as the winner in the Boys category, and the Institute of Technology emerged as the winner in the Girls category.

 Inter-Institute Photography and Short Film Competition 

The Inter-Institute Photography and Short Film Competition was hosted by the Institute of Pharmacy under the aegis of the Students Welfare Board, Nirma University. The competition was open for submissions from January 20, 2026 to February 10, 2026. The theme was ‘Breaking the Silence’ and ‘Life Beyond Grades’, for the Photography Competition & Short Film Competition, respectively. Devangi Chothani from the Institute of Technology stood first and Shruti Dorik from the Institute of Commerce stood second in the Photography Competition. In the Short Film Competition, Noopur Sampat from the Institute of Architecture & Planning stood first and Pooja Modi & Team from the Institute of Design stood second. Winners were felicitated on February 27, 2026.
