Best Memorial at the 19th Henry Dunant
The students? team from Institute of Law won citation for the Best Memorial at the 19th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition held from Sep 19 -22, 2019. The team comprising Anirudh Srinivasan, Ritwik Sharma, and Kushagra Goyal was also adjudged as quarter-finalists in the competition.
Case Study Analysis Competition
Institute of Commerce, Nirma University won the Case Study Analysis Competition at the National Level Management Festival ? Vishleshan Plus organised by GLS University, Ahmedabad on Sep 13, 2019. A team of 5 students ? Harsh Patwa, Salony Bafna, Vaidanshi Nema, Vanshika Varlani and Yash Goyal from third year secured 1st position in the final round competing against 5 teams from different colleges and universities.
62nd Zonal Annual NASA
Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University was awarded ?Citation? (winner) in the 62nd Zonal Annual NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture) held at Amity University, Mumbai during Sep 20-22, 2019. The zone was represented by various colleges from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Institute of Architecture and Planning participated for the first time in the ?Reubens? Trophy and was judged the best college for academic excellence. The Citation was shared by SCET, Surat.
The Reubens trophy provides a platform for the participating institutes to showcase their curricular work, which is a reflection of both, the nature of pedagogy of the institutes and the resultant knowledge and skills acquired by the students. It is conceived as a competition whereby the quality of the academic work produced by the students of different colleges are judged on certain set criteria. More importantly, the resultant exhibition of the works offers a diverse exposure to the delegates.
SAE India Southern Section Aero Design Challenge 2019
Team Arrow of Nirma University under the captainship of BTech Mechanical Engineering student Varun Contractor won the ‘1st position for Overall Performance’ and the ‘1st position for Best Technical Presentation’ and received prize money of Rs 1,00,000/- and Rs 10,000/- respectively.
The Nirma team developed an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle weighing 1.2kg, capable of flying for 10 minutes within a range of 1km and at a speed up to 60 kmph.
SAE India Southern Section Aero Design Challenge 2019 is the biggest Unmanned Aerial Vehicle competition in the nation. This year the event was held at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai organised during July 19-21, 2019.
