Alumni Board Meeting

The annual alumni board meeting of the Institute of Management, Nirma University was held on Sep 7, 2019. The primary agenda of the meeting was to review alumni engagement of the previous year and seek budgetary approval for Alumni Day Celebrations planned during Oct 2019. The board has been functioning for the last three years in advising on various engagement avenues, including mentorship, city meets, fundraising and the like.

Achievements

Mr Abhishek Dubey and Mr Harsh Agrawal, alumni of Institute of Technology, won the NASSCOM Design4India award under ‘Digital Ergonomic Product” category.

NASSCOM design summit is one of the most celebrated design event in India and Design4India awards are a major milestone for design validation.

Alumni On Campus

• Mr Smit Ghelani (class of 2012), an Institute of Technology alumnus and owner of Shree Dhan Laxmi Chemicals and Shree Bhavani Iodates delivered a lecture on “How to Start a Startup in India? – the way ahead” on Sep 19, 2019.
• Mr Jayvirsinh Zala, a 2014 batch pass-out of BTech Computer Engineering, Nirma University; and GPSC cleared with all Gujarat 11^th rank, delivered an expert talk on ?Civil Services? to 5^th Semester Computer Engineering students on Sep 23, 2019. He briefed them about what Civil Services is, Opportunities, How to approach it, different exams that can be given, the examination pattern and the selection procedure.
